It's Friday night.  The smell of popcorn (and enormous amounts of butter) fill the air.  The kiddos are pumped to see the latest Pixar release.  For so many years, I would clear out our upstairs closet of every blanket I could find, creating the best bed possible for our little ones.  After getting everyone situated and comfortable, we would finally start the movie!

The first ten minutes would go off without a hitch...BUT...soon I would hear the inevitable.  "Her feet are too close to me!"  "I can feel her breathing!"  "Stop stealing the blanket!"  "Mom, make him stop!"

Oh yes, how foolish!  Why would I ever think that four little children could peacefully lay so close to each other for an extended period of time?  It was time for INSPIRATIONAL MOMMA!!!  An intervention was needed.

I decided to create a Pillowcase Bed/Chair for each of my children.  This would provide them with a comfy space of their own for our movie nights.  On a quick trip to Wal-Mart, I found pillowcases on clearance for $1.47 each and the pillows were just $2.37 each.  I was able to make a Pillowcase Bed/Chair for just $16.20 each.  I also had four Pillowcase Bed/Chairs made in 40 minutes.  (Not to mention four amazed children.)

These creations are both simple and affordable!  See my easy How-To Instructions below to find out how you can create one for a little peanut in your life!

Materials Needed:
4 standard pillowcases
4 standard pillows
sewing machine and thread too : )

How-To Instructions:
1.  Lay 2 pillowcases on top of each other.  Make sure they are lined up perfectly and both open ends are on the same side.  Pin pillowcases together.  I usually pin them about 1-2 inches from the edge I want to sew.  (see diagram below)
2. Sew along pinned side about 1/4 inch in from the edge.  (see diagram below)
3. Repeat this process with the remaining pillowcases, being sure to keep the seems on the same side, as well as the openings.
4. Insert pillows and enjoy!
