Family. I don't know what I would do without my family. For some, it may be hard to comprehend, but I literally live within a mile of my parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and in-laws. And a majority of them are just across the field from our home. I have friends who think I am crazy for living in a small farming town in central Wisconsin. However, I wouldn't trade for anything.
I love that at any given moment, you never know who may show up on a four-wheeler. I also like the fact that I have several options if I run out of eggs or need a cup of sugar. Because we all live so close to each other, it is also a guarantee that within minutes, a gathering can be planned! So many times, phone calls are made and before you know, a large part of our family is gathering together, talking and laughing, all while enjoying refreshing drinks and delicious foods! I am always amazed at how quickly our kitchens turn into full-fledged buffets!
While most of the time we do not even have a reason, this particular gathering was focused on my cousin. She was home from college for a few days, and we had just enough time to throw a party together for her. The biggest question on all of our minds was...what should I make? For me, I am always a fan of something quick, easy, and delicious! That is usually when I decide that I have to make something that incorporates my secret ingredient...7UP®! Afterall, I have created drinks, appetizers, salads, breads, and cakes using this versatile product!
And I can still remember the moment everyone took their first bite of my 2-Ingredient 7UP Cake with Cream Cheese 7UP Icing.
"What is in this?"
"What is that flavor?"
"It melts in my mouth!"
Then, the moment came when I told them my secret ingredient. Straight from the shelf at our closest Walmart (yes...it is 30 miles away), my secret ingredient was nothing other than 7UP! It is easy to find in the soda aisle and guaranteed to be a great price!
That refreshing lemon-lime flavor takes a simple cake to the next level in an instant. It also assures that your cake will be light, moist, and irresistible! Along with other basic ingredients that can be found at Walmart, you can create magic with this 2-Ingredient 7UP Cake with Cream Cheese 7UP Icing.
This is, by far, the easiest cake I have ever made in my life! It is also guaranteed to please with its sensational, addicting flavor! Check out the recipe for yourself! And hey, serve it up at your next gathering and just wait for the compliments to start flying!

I like the idea for the 2 step 7up cake..But I'm a little confused so when you do this I see your instructions are just add the 7up soda to the dry cake mix...QUESTION: you Dont add eggs or any other ingredients that the box may say ? I would really like to try this...
That is right...it is as simple as that! I know it is a little hard to believe. That is why this cake is one of my favorites!
I do not have a tube pan. Would it work in a different type? Thanks!
I wish I could give you a definite answer, but I've never tried it and can't say for sure. I would assume it would work, but I am not 100% sure.
Can you use other flavors of 7UP and why not a bunt pan. I can see where the other flavors could be a good variety. Thanks for sharing
That sounds delicious. I don’t see why you couldn’t! Cherry 7UP would be delicious! And I also think you could use a bundt pan and just alter the bake time.
