Air fryer apples may be simple to peel off the peelings once they're cooked, but I find that peeling and coring the apples ahead of time just makes it that much better. It saves time and really brings out the flavors, too.

Great question - and for that, my answer is "maybe The air fryer is what cooks up the apples so that they're the perfect texture so I suppose that I could see this happening with pears and possibly even peaches, too. How do you store leftover dessert crumble?
Once you have it leftover and put it into a container, you need to keep it stored in the fridge. This will keep it as fresh as possible for as long as possible and ready for you the next time that you're ready to eat it.
Keep in mind that when you're storing it, the oatmeal is going to get soft in the fridge. This won't change the flavor or the taste but it will change the texture from the first time that you made it.

What kind of apples did you use? I know some toyed are better for baking than others.
I have used all types of apples and all have been delicious. I really think it is a personal preference. Some people prefer a more tart taste, so I would recommend Granny Smith apples. Pink Ladies will give you a sweeter taste. I personally prefer the ones I pick off my tree, but I am unsure what kind they are.
Question:
Can I use one 2 quart baking dish instead of small ramekins?
Absolutely! You will just have to adjust the baking time to ensure the center is thoroughly baked.
