Bacon Jalapeno Jam

This bacon jalapeno jam is the perfect combination of sweet, smoky, and spicy. Serve this delicious jam as a snack or as a topping!

Cook Time 1 hour 15 minutes

Total Time 2 hours 25 minutes


  • 1 lb bacon, diced
  • 1 cup diced red onions
  • 1 cup diced jalapenos (remove seeds to a milder jam)
  • 2 tbsp minced garlic
  • ½ cup maple syrup
  • ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp paprika


  1. In a large saucepan, cook bacon over medium heat.
  2. Transfer bacon to a plate lined with paper towel.  
  3. Drain grease out of saucepan except 1 tbsp.
  4. Add onions, jalapenos, and garlic.  Cook until onions become transparent.
  5. Reduce heat to low.  Add maple syrup, apple cider vinegar, paprika, and cooked bacon.  Stir well. 
  6. Simmer for 1 hour, stirring often.
  7. If jam gets a bit too thick, add a small amount of water.
  8. Allow jam to cool before transferring it to sealable jars.
