This air fryer grilled cheese and tomato sandwich is the perfect meal for the summer. Perfectly toasted bread, gooey cheese, and fresh tomatoes come together to create a sandwich that just screams summer.

The classic grilled cheese we all know and love gets a garden-fresh twist by adding tomatoes! It's full of summer flavor and so easy to make.

Air Fryer Grilled Cheese and Tomato

I love making grilled cheese sandwiches. I've made all kinds, from simple to fully loaded. One of my favorites is this one. It's super easy but it has a nice little twist.

Ingredients

You'll only need a handful of ingredients to make these sandwiches.

  • sandwich bread
  • butter
  • American cheese
  • tomato slices

Instructions

If you've ever made a grilled cheese sandwich, you'll have no problems with this recipe.

Step 1: Spread butter on one side of each piece of bread.

Step 2: Lay the pieces of bread butter side down. Place one piece of cheese on two slices of bread.

Step 3: Place 3-4 slices of tomato on the same two pieces.

Step 4: Place the other buttered pieces of bread on top of each sandwich.

Step 5: Place both sandwiches in air fryer basket.

Step 6: Air fry at 370oF for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through. They are done when the tops begin to brown.
