Easy Crochet Toddler Headband

 

About 15 years ago, my husband and I started dating.  Being from a small town, I always knew who his mom was but still found it a bit awkward to make conversation.  There were several times that I avoided a situation because I wasn't quite sure what we would have in common to talk about.  Then it happened!  I walked through the living room and saw her working intently at a gorgeous afghan.  Intrigued, I sat down to check out what she was doing.  I was amazed at how fast that little hook was moving, and I began asking questions.  Right then and there I knew I discovered our connection!  With the basic techniques she taught me that day, I can create this Easy Crochet Toddler Headband and so can you!

Since then, I have learned many different, more complicated stitches, but I still find myself gravitating back to the most basic.  And I am still blown away by what I can create by using them.  This Easy Crochet Toddler Headband is my latest creation, and I must admit, I made it for a very gorgeous little lady in my life.  As I was working on it, little Emzlee continuously asked, "Done mumma?"  And you should have seen her little face light up when I finally said yes.  Thank goodness it didn't take me long to finish.  Her patience was running a bit thin.
