Homemade French Vanilla Creamer
"Is there more creamer in the fridge downstairs?" My husband's words send my mind spinning! I couldn't possibly run out of coffee creamer...could I??? NO!! Tell me it isn't so!
Reality is, there have been times when this has happened. Knowing the love that my husband and I have for coffee, I often buy three or four bottles of creamer at a time. However, it has slipped my mind a time or two, and we immediately go into panic mode. Yes, we could drink it black, or perhaps with a bit of milk and sugar...but it just isn't the same. There is just something about that creamy French Vanilla flavor that I must have. That is exactly why I created this simple Homemade French Vanilla Creamer. It only requires three ingredients, which I always have on hand. Because of this, I know I will never be in a bind again! After all, I must have my coffee!
I have always liked drinking coffee, but it wasn't until recently that it became part of my daily routine. Just a year and a half ago, I lost a special person in my life. My grandpa passed away in a very tragic accident. Even as I am writing this, I can hear his infectious laugh. I can picture him as plain as can be with a coffee cup in his hands. Grandpa did many things, but he completely dominated at drinking coffee. It was July when we lost him, the weather was hot, but I just couldn't get enough coffee. Our entire family sat around in the sticky, humid Wisconsin summer, sipping from our cups and reminiscing about all the great times with grandpa.
To this day, I still get a smile on my face as I hold that warm cup in my hands. I am no longer able to see my grandpa, but I truly think I get a quick glimpse back into the past with every sip. This Homemade French Vanilla Creamer is just what I need to not only create a delicious flavor but to help me remember an amazing man each and every day!

So easy! Can't wait to whip some up.
I just made your coffee creamer recipe. It is so good. Thank you for sharing. How long does the creamer stay good? I am the only person in my house that drinks coffee.
I am so glad you like it! I believe that I had mine in the fridge for at least 2 weeks and never had any problems. Just give it a shake before you pour it in and enjoy!
I'm nuts for hazel nut creamer. Would it work with hazelnut essence instead of vanilla, or maybe half and half vanilla and hazelnut?
I am also a fan of hazelnut but have never tried making homemade hazelnut creamer. I do not see why it wouldn't work. Please let me know if you try it and how it turns out!
Just replace vanilla with hazelnut extract.
I have been making your recipe for months now and I really enjoy it! Sure beats the expensive stuff you buy. I also am the only one in my family that uses it and I've never had to throw any of it out--lasts 2 weeks +. Thank you for a great recipe!
Thank you so much and I am so glad you are enjoying it! We always have some in the fridge as well! Cheers!
I made this for my son, who loves French Vanilla creamer. He said there was absolutely no difference in taste from the name brand I was buying. So happy to have found something without a bunch of "mystery imgrediejts." Thank you for sharing this.
I am so happy that you like it! Thanks for the kind words!
Just made your French vanilla creamer! Wonderful! I was recently told by a very health conscious friend that the stuff in store bought creamers were artificial & very bad for the body. Thanks again! I'm gonna try hazelnut 4 my daughter its her favorite.
You are so welcome! And I can't wait to hear how your hazelnut turns out! Be sure to let me know!
Has anyone tried chocolate milk with mint flavoring. Wondering how it would taste.
I like the way that you think! I haven't tried it, but please let me know if you do!
