Vanilla Pudding Chocolate Chip Cookies
All right everyone, I am going to make a claim today, and I am not taking this lightly! Throughout my years, I have made it a point to try MANY different cookie recipes. While I do like to experiment with fun ingredients, I am partial to traditional chocolate chips. I have made a variety of recipes using butter vs. margarine, 1 egg vs. 3 eggs, white sugar vs. brown sugar. Some variations are a success and satisfy me for a while, others flop and lead me to try something new.
I am here to tell you the moment has arrived! I can honestly say I may never look for another chocolate chip cookie recipe again! After some experimenting, I created these Vanilla Pudding Chocolate Chip Cookies. Oh my...where to begin? These cookies simply melt in your mouth. They are so soft and chewy, it is hard to not run for another.
The first time I made them, I wasn't sure quite what to expect. I had already used pudding in my Banana Cream Pie Pudding Cookies. Those turned out like perfection, so I was quite hopeful. My children laughed a bit when they saw me getting out another box of pudding, but they also knew the chances of success were high.
Wow, were we happy with the results! The entire batch of my Vanilla Pudding Chocolate Chip Cookies lasted about an hour! And today, I am making a claim that these may just be the most amazing, soft and chewy cookies out there!
Check out the recipe below and try them out yourself!

Do you make the pudding first as directed on the box or add it dry to the butter and eggs?
Great question. You actually just add the dry pudding mix to the batter. Happy baking!
I have made these cookies often, it is one of my Favorite chocolate chip cookie recipes! I also put these in the freezer for 30 minutes or so before baking and it keeps them big ,soft and delicious! Thank you for the recipe.
Thank you so much for your kind words and your trick for keeping them even softer! They are definitely one of our favorites too!
Have you ever just spread this dough in a pan, and baked it as bar cookies?
I have not, but I don't see why it wouldn't work. If you try it, please let me know how it turns out! Happy baking!
This are the absolute best Cookies. I add about 1/4 coconut and 1/4 cup of chopped pecans. I've been making these every week for my husband lunch. Thank you so much for a great recipe.
You are so welcome! I love the addition of coconut and pecans! I will definitely be trying that.
