Ritz Cracker Caramel Chocolate Toffee
If you are anything like me, you are always looking for yummy recipes that knock people's socks off! And if those particular recipes can be thrown together in minutes, they are quickly added to my "favorites" list! Now, before I go any further, I do have to be honest! There is one horrible negative about this Ritz Cracker Caramel Chocolate Toffee! You must beware of it!
It is very likely that you will immediately become addicted! You will have the urge to stash it in your secret hiding spot so you can have it all to yourself. You will find yourself sneaking a piece at any hour of the day...devouring it with absolute satisfaction!
Now that you have been warned, it is time for you to create your new, favorite recipe...Ritz Cracker Caramel Chocolate Toffee!
Ingredients for Ritz Cracker Caramel Chocolate Toffee:
Ritz Crackers (approx. 50)
1 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
2 cups chocolate chips
Directions for Ritz Cracker Caramel Chocolate Toffee:
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Evenly place crackers on a foil-lined, greased 11x17 cookie sheet.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and combine with brown sugar.
- Bring to a low boil and stir continuously for about 3 minutes or until mixture is smooth.
- Pour over crackers and bake for 4 minutes. Turn the oven off.
- Let crackers and caramel sit for 1 minute.
- Evenly sprinkle chocolate chips over top. Place in the oven for 1 minute.
- Remove from oven and spread the melted chocolate chips with a spatula.
