I know, I know. I'm on a salmon kick. But what can I say? It's my favorite fish! Today, I have a sweet, tangy, and warm version of salmon fillets that you can serve with rice, pasta, vegetables, or almost any of your other favorite sides. The best part is that it's healthy and delicious, a combo I've been aiming for more and more these days.

This is an incredibly quick and easy recipe to make. In fact, the most time-intensive part of it is simply letting the fish marinate for 30 minutes. After that, it's ready in just about 8 minutes! Even beginners will have no trouble with this one.

1: Mix all the ingredients except the salmon in a bowl. Set aside 2 tablespoons of the mixture to brush over the cooked salmon.

Refrigerate this sweet chili salmon for up to 3 days in an air-tight container. For longer storage, wrap the salmon tightly in plastic wrap and freeze it for up to 3 months in an air-tight, freezer-safe container or heavy-duty freezer bag. Defrost before reheating.

To reheat this salmon, place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake at 350 until heated through.

  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 16 oz skinless salmon filet, cut into 3 pieces
  • ¼ cup sweet chili sauce
  • Juice from 1 lime
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped


  1. In a small bowl, mix sweet chili sauce, lime juice, salt, pepper, and green onions.  Set aside 2 tbsp to brush over cooked salmon..
  2. Place salmon in the bowl, dredging it in the mixture and allow it to marinade for 30 minutes.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  4. Gently place salmon in hot oil.
  5. Cook salmon for about 4 minutes on each side or until cooked through.
  6. Spoon remaining sweet chili mixture over top and serve.
