Air Fryer Cinnamon Rolls

These air fryer cinnamon rolls are golden on the outside, light and fluffy on the inside, and absolutely full of that sweet cinnamon filling and icing that we love about this sweet treat.

Air Fryer Cinnamon Rolls

I love cinnamon rolls, and I love cooking with my air fryer, so it only made sense to combine the two. I'm so glad I did! These cinnamon rolls are light and fluffy on the inside and golden on the outside with just a touch of crispness that really adds something amazing to them!

Ingredients

You only need a few simple ingredients to make this recipe.

Roll Ingredients:

  • milk
  • water
  • butter
  • flour
  • sugar
  • salt
  • active dry yeast
  • egg

Filling Ingredients:

  • butter
  • brown sugar
  • cinnamon

Icing Ingredients:

  • cream cheese
  • butter
  • heavy whipping cream
  • vanilla
  • powdered sugar

Instructions

This recipe requires a few steps, but they're all very easy to do. You'll have no problem with this recipe!

Roll Directions

Step 1: In a large bowl microwave-safe bowl, mix milk, water, and butter together.

Step 2: Microwave just until butter is melted and mixture is warm.

Step 3: Add flour, sugar, salt, yeast, and egg.

Step 4: Using a stand mixer or your hands, stir until uniform dough forms.

Step 5: Continue working dough with your hands on a floured surface for about 2-3 minutes.

Step 6: Place ball of dough in a bowl that has been sprayed with non-stick cooking spray.

Step 7: Cover loosely and allow to rest for about 15 minutes.

Step 8: When done, roll dough out on a floured surface until it is about 8 inches by 10 inches.

Filling Directions:

Step 9: Spread softened butter over top of rolled dough.

Step 10: Evenly sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon over top of butter.

Step 11: Roll the dough tightly starting with the short side.

Step 12: Cut the roll into 6 pieces and arrange them in your greased 7-inch air fryer pan.

Step 13: Cover the pan tightly with plastic wrap.

Step 14: Allow rolls to rise in a warm place for about 60-75 minutes or until the rolls have doubled in size.

Air Fry Directions:
Step 15: Air fry at 320ºF for 8-9 minutes or until the rolls are golden brown.

Icing Directions:

Step 16: While rolls are baking, prepare icing. Place all ingredients in a medium mixing bowl and beat together. Drizzle over warm rolls and serve.

Substitutions

Margarine: You can use melted margarine in place of butter for the cinnamon roll liquid.

Dark Brown Sugar: Dark brown sugar works well in place of regular light brown sugar.
