Ham and Cheese Air Fryer Sliders

Air Fryer Sliders are small sandwiches that are made with sweet rolls, sliced ham, and mozzarella cheese. These are great for lunch, dinner, or even parties.

Air Fryer sliders are such a delicious savory lunch, dinner, or snack. I love making sliders in the air fryer because there’s no need to get the house warm by heating up the oven. This is especially good in the summer. The very last thing I want to do in the summer is turn on the stove right at dinner time. These ham and cheese sliders cook very quickly in an air fryer, helping you get dinner on the table in an instant. These delicious mini sandwiches would even make a great super bowl party appetizer. No matter what you use these sandwiches to celebrate, I know you will enjoy them as much as my family did.

Ham and Cheese Sliders

Ham and cheese sliders are soft Hawaiian rolls that are sliced in half and then filled with ham and cheese. Brushed on the top of your ham and cheese sliders is a delicious seasoning that makes these air fryer sliders simply crave-able.

I hosted a wedding shower not long ago for a friend, and one of the foods she requested was ham and cheese sliders. I made these in the air fryer for the shower, and all the attendees fell in love with having these tiny handheld sandwiches cooked in the air fryer.

Typical recipes for these ham and cheese sliders are cooked in the oven. I used the air fryer because my oven was full of other foods for the party. I have to admit, though, now that I’ve tried these mini sandwiches in the air fryer, I will not be going back to the oven to cook them. The air fryer just really makes these sandwiches taste even better. The air fryer also gives these sliders the perfect texture inside and out.

What are King’s Hawaiian rolls, and where do I find them in the grocery store

King’s Hawaiian rolls are soft and fluffy bread rolls that are made by the brand King’s Hawaiian. These rolls are sweet tasting and work so well as a slider bun. I even use these rolls for cheeseburger sliders. Sometimes I serve these delicious rolls as a bread side with dinner.

Can I make these sliders ahead

If you want to make these sliders ahead, I recommend assembling your rolls and storing them in the fridge. Once you are ready to serve your rolls, then I would suggest putting them in the fryer. I have found that these rolls taste best when they are warm. Don’t get me wrong, these rolls are just as delicious cold as they warm. I just happen to prefer them warm and toasty. I recommend assembling these sliders no more than five hours before you are ready to cook them.

How to reheat leftover ham and cheese sliders in the air fryer

Absolutely, you can reheat leftover ham and cheese sliders in the air fryer. If you would like to reheat your sliders in the air fryer, here are the steps that you need to follow. Preheat your air fryer to 300 degrees. Once your air fryer is preheated, place your leftover ham and cheese sliders in the air fryer basket and reheat for 3 to 5 minutes. Watch your sliders carefully. Since you are just reheating your ham and cheese sliders, they can burn quickly. Remember, you are not cooking your sliders again. You are just reheating them. Once your sliders are warm, serve and enjoy.

Can I use a different type of cheese for my sliders

Indeed, if you are not a fan of mozzarella, you have options. I am leaving you a list of cheeses that my family likes to eat with ham sliders.

  • Swiss
  • Cheddar
  • Provolone
  • American
