Can I tell you a secret? This Air Fryer Cauliflower recipe doesn't taste like strong cauliflower. If you've never tried eating cauliflower I do not want you to be afraid of trying this tasty recipe. The seasonings on this air fryer roasted cauliflower really brings out such an amazing flavor. Then, when you dip your crispy cauliflower into the bang bang sauce, your mind will be blown by how flavorful and delicious this air fryer cauliflower turns out.
How to cut cauliflower
To cut your cauliflower, first you need to remove the outer leaves around the head of the cauliflower. After removing the leaves, wash and dry your cauliflower well. I like to use paper towels to dry my cauliflower.
Once your cauliflower is clean and dry, use a chef’s knife to cut off the stalk or stem of your cauliflower. Next, slice your cauliflower in half vertically so that it’s easy to remove the core. Once you remove the core, your florets should separate themselves. If they do not separate themselves, use the tip of the chef’s knife to get your florets close to the same size.
If you really want to save some time on chopping, you can pick up some cauliflower florets at the grocery store. By purchasing cauliflower that is already in floret form, you are saving yourself some time and sanity without changing the taste or flavor of your air fryer cauliflower.
Can I use frozen cauliflower
Frozen cauliflower will work for this recipe. However, you will need to make sure that the cauliflower is completely thawed first. You want to remove as much liquid as possible from the thawed cauliflower. If your florets have too much water or juice in them, unfortunately, they will be mushy. So, be sure to dry them thoroughly.
Is Bang Bang Cauliflower spicy
This Bang Bang Cauliflower recipe is not really spicy. It is coated or dipped in a sweet chili sauce. Chili sauce does have some spice to it. However, since it is a sweet chili sauce, it does not have a high level of spice. Most people will not find this Bang Bang Cauliflower overly spicy.
How do I make Bang Bang sauce
My Bang Bang sauce to go with this air fryer cauliflower is so simple to make. It's so simple that all you need is two basic pantry staples. I know it's hard to believe that a sauce as delicious as bang bang sauce only needs two basic ingredients. However, it's true that all you need to make your bang bang sauce is sweet chili sauce and mayo. That's it, no fancy ingredients are needed. Making bang bang sauce is so easy. Grab the measurements that you need below, and then just mix the sweet chili sauce and the mayo together. You have quickly created this super tasty and tangy bang bang sauce.
How do you store Air Fryer Cauliflower
Suppose you manage to have some air fryer cauliflower left over. In that case, I recommend storing your leftover cauliflower in the fridge for up to three days. Want to reheat your leftover cauliflower in your air fryer? I’ve got some simple directions to help you do just that.
To reheat leftover air fryer cauliflower, preheat your air fryer to 350 degrees. Once your air fryer is preheated, place your leftover air fryer cauliflower into your air fryer basket, and cook your cauliflower bites for about 3 to 5 minutes. You are not “cooking” your cauliflower again. You are just reheating, so all you need is for your cauliflower to warm up. This should take no more than 5 minutes.
Can you freeze Air Fryer Cauliflower Bites
Unfortunately, air fryer cauliflower bites do not freeze well once they are cooked. Freezing cooked cauliflower changes the texture of your cauliflower. I don’t recommend freezing your leftover air fryer cauliflower. If you do not mind a texture change, you can give freezing it a try. My family just does not enjoy the texture after cooked cauliflower has been frozen and then thawed.

How to Make Air Fryer Cauliflower
Step 1. In a medium bowl, combine cauliflower florets, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
Step 2. Place cauliflower mixture in your air fryer basket.
Step 3. Air fry for 400ºF for 15 minutes or until the cauliflower is tender, stirring a couple times throughout.
Step 4. While cauliflower is cooking, in a small bowl, combine sweet chili sauce and mayonnaise.
Step 5. Transfer cooked cauliflower from the air fryer to a serving bowl. Drizzle bang bang sauce over the top, saving some for dipping.
Pro-Tips:
- Do not overcrowd your air fryer. Overcrowding will prevent your cauliflower from crisping up in your air fryer.
- Smaller florets will give you the best results. Try to make sure that your florets are similar in size.
- Don’t forget to stir or shake your cauliflower for even cooking.
- During the last few minutes of your cook time, keep your eyes on your cauliflower to make sure that it does not burn.
