Soft & Sensational Snickerdoodles
"Let's make cookies!"
All too often you will hear these words at our house. While we love shooting hoops, playing board games, and watching our favorite shows, whipping up a yummy batch of cookies is high on our list. Chocolate chips, oatmeal, M&Ms, or pecans...we love them all! One recipe that we often make are our Vanilla Pudding Chocolate Chip Cookies! They are absolute melt-in-your-mouth deliciousness!
However, on this particular day, we wanted to try something new. I went straight to my grandma's recipe box! When I am looking for a recipe that is guaranteed to turn out and be amazing...that is the only place to go! So many choices! After a great deal of deliberation, Soft & Sensational Snickerdoodles won by a landslide!
As I pulled the recipe from the box, I had to pause a moment. Seeing something written in my grandma's handwriting still catches me off-guard. I closed my eyes and could picture her in the kitchen. Of course, she was surrounded by little ones eager to help, must most importantly, they couldn't wait to eat the dough! Thirty years ago, I was the little one helping her pour the flour. She was even brave enough to teach me how to crack an egg.
I was brought back to reality with my own children giggling with excitement. My older daughters had gathered the ingredients, and the littles had already taken their positions sitting on the counter! It was not just time to bake yummy cookies, it was time to make precious memories with my sweethearts!
Trust me! You will not be disappointed with these Soft & Sensational Snickerdoodles! If you are anything like us, they will quickly become a favorite that you will make again and again!

This recipe is terrible. I have made these for years and thought I would try a new one. Terrible.
I am so sorry that you feel that way. Our family loves them. Can you tell me why they didn’t turn out?
These cookies were a bust! I followed exact recipe. Cookies are raw in the middle. 325 for 2 tablespoons of cookie dough per ball, not enough time. And temperature was not high enough. Really disappointed this was a waste of ingredients. I was sending them to my best friend as he received bad news about his dog. Thought I would cheer him up with a cookie hug. Nope!!
I am really sorry that they didn't turn out for you. This is one of our go-to recipes, and they turn out perfectly every time.
