Tips for Making the Best BBQ Chicken Sliders
- Using a very sharp, serrated bread knife makes it much easier to cut the rolls evenly and without squishing them.
- I find the easiest way to quickly and easily cut the Hawaiian rolls is to leave them stuck together and cut the entire thing all at once.
- Coat the baking dish evenly with non-stick spray, but don't add so much that it pools and makes the buns soggy.
FAQ
Originally, sliders were simply small hamburgers. These days, however, sliders are any kind of hot, meaty sandwich made on rolls or buns.
Shredding chicken is easiest while it's warm. You can use two forks or shredding claws to manually shred it, or use a food processor.
When the tops of the buns are toasted, the sliders are done. They're made with pre-cooked chicken, so there's no worry about food safety. Just watch the tops of the buns, and you'll be golden - literally.
