Easy Crispy Chicken Salsa Wraps

These delicious crispy chicken salsa wraps are loaded with tender chicken, salsa, cheese, sour cream, and cilantro. They're a delicious addition to any party, Taco Tuesday, or family meal.

These chicken wraps have a simple but delicious Tex-Mex flair to them. They're tasty, take your tastebuds south of the border, and are so easy to make. It's the perfect combo!

Chicken Salsa Wraps

I make wraps all the time, and I'm always trying to do something new and delicious with them. That's how I came up with this recipe. It's very reminiscent of a chicken soft taco, and everyone loves those!

Ingredients

It only takes a handful of simple ingredients to make this recipe. You'll find them all easily at your local grocery store.

  • tortillas
  • shredded cooked chicken
  • salsa
  • fresh cilantro
  • shredded cheese
  • sour cream

Instructions

In just a few short steps and a few minutes, you'll have delicious chicken wraps that everyone will love.

Step 1: In a large saucepan over medium heat, combine shredded chicken and salsa.  Cook for a few minutes until mixture is heated through.  Remove from heat, stir in 3 tablespoons cilantro,  and set aside.

Step 2: Set your tortillas on your work surface.

Step 3: Spoon chicken mixture in the center of your tortillas.  

Step 4: Sprinkle cheese on top.

Step 5: To fold your snack wrap, fold the sides in and roll to secure. Place seam-side down until you are finished rolling them all up.

Step 6: Place a large skillet over medium heat. 

Step 7: Spray the bottom of each snack wrap with cooking spray and place them on your heated skillet.

Step 8: Cook for about 4 minutes or until bottoms are golden brown.

Step 9: Spray the tops of snack wraps and flip to cook the other side. Continue cooking until that side is golden brown.

Remove from heat, top with sour cream and remaining cilantro, and serve.

The recipe only requires a few basic pieces of kitchen equipment.

Substitutions

Shredded Cheese: Use any type and variety of shredded cheese you like.

Shredded Pork: If you have leftover pork roast, use that in place of chicken.

Options

Looking for ways to change up these chicken salsa wraps? Here are some suggestions.

Spicy: Add sliced jalapenos to the chicken mixture.

No Cilantro: If you don't like cilantro, simply leave it out.

Tips:

  • Be sure to spray your wraps with nonstick spray to keep them from sticking when frying them.
  • Save yourself time by shredding a rotisserie chicken rather than baking chicken at home.
  • When shredding chicken, it's best to do it when it's as hot as you can comfortably handle. It shreds better when warm or hot.

Easy Crispy Chicken Salsa Wraps

These salsa chicken wraps are stuffed with chicken, salsa, cilantro, and more, then wrapped up and pan-fried to golden brown perfection.

Ingredients

  • 6 large tortillas
  • 3 cups shredded cooked chicken
  • 2 cups salsa, your favorite one
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro, divided
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream

Instructions
