Lemon Cool Whip cookies are quick, easy, and delicious. These lemon cake mix cookies are soft, chewy and loaded with bright, lemon flavor.

Prep Time 35 minutes
Cook Time 10 minutes
Total Time 45 minutes


  • Lemon cake mix for 9x13-inch cake
  • 1 egg
  • 1 ½ cups whipped topping
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar


  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine cake mix, egg, and whipped topping until smooth.
  2. Refrigerate dough for 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat oven to 350ºF.
  4. Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper or spraying it with nonstick cooking spray.
  5. Form 1 to 1 ½ inch balls of dough.
  6. Roll each ball of dough on powdered sugar and place them on your prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake cookies for 10 minutes.  They may appear a little soft in the middle, but be sure not to overbake them.
