I took all the flavors of a Big Mac and stuffed them into a tortilla to create a dish that's a sort of homemade mashup of McDonald's and Taco Bell.

Tips for the Best Big Mac Crunchwrap

  • Don't overcook the beef. It's finished as soon as it's no longer pink.
  • Always drain your ground beef. Even lean ground beef will release some fat as it cooks.
  • Make your ground beef centers about the same size as your tostada shells for easy wrapping.

FAQ

Why is my ground beef always tough?

Ground beef is usually tough because it's been overcooked. Most people cook ground beef until it's dried out, and that's far too long. Ground beef is finished cooking as soon as all the pink is gone.

What is Big Mac sauce made of?

My Big Mac sauce is made with mayo, pickles, sugar, mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, and a couple of other ingredients to mimic the sweet, tangy flavor of Big Mac secret sauce.

How do I know when these Big Mac crunchwraps are finished?

The filling of these crunchwraps is already fully cooked, so the wraps are done as soon as they're cooked to a golden color on the outside.
