Cool whip cookies are one of my favorite kinds of cookie to make. They take a handful of ingredients, and they're so much fun to play with! These cookies are strawberry, but you can create all kinds of different flavors just by changing the cake mix you use.

It only takes four simple ingredients to make these cookies, and you can find them all in just about 10 minutes at your local grocery store. The ingredients are listed here, but you can find the exact amounts in the recipe card at the end of the post.

  • Cake mix of any flavor for a 9x13-inch cake (I used strawberry)
  • Egg
  • Whipped topping 
  • Powdered sugar

Instructions

This recipe is just about the easiest you'll ever make. Just mix and bake!

1: Mix all the ingredients until smooth.

2: Refrigerate dough for 30 minutes. Then, form it into balls.

3: Roll each dough ball in powdered sugar.

4: Bake until the cookies are set and cracked on top. Transfer to a wire cooling rack to cool.

Ingredients

  • cake mix of any flavor for 9x13-inch cake (I used strawberry)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 ½ cups whipped topping
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine cake mix, egg, and whipped topping until smooth.
  2. Refrigerate dough for 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat oven to 350ºF.
  4. Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper or spraying it with nonstick cooking spray.
  5. Form 1 to 1 ½ inch balls of dough.
  6. Roll each ball of dough on powdered sugar and place them on your prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake cookies for 10 minutes.  They may appear a little soft in the middle, but be sure not to overbake them.
