Step 1: Trim the bottoms of asparagus off to be sure it fits in the instant pot.
Step 2: Put water, butter, garlic, salt, and pepper. Stir.
Step 3: Turn the instant pot to SAUTE. Heat until butter is melted.
Step 4: Add asparagus in a criss-cross pattern.
Step 5: Place lid on the pot.
Step 6: PRESSURE on HIGH for 1 minute.
Step 7: Quick release pressure.
