  • Crackers
  • Garlic bread

  • Using rotisserie or leftover chicken is easy and works perfectly.
  • Sautee the vegetables with the paprika to get a nice depth of flavor.
  • ALWAYS remove your soup from the heat before adding the sour cream to prevent curdling.

What is chicken paprikash?

It's a Hungarian chicken dish that's seasoned heavily with paprika. Paprikash is actually Hungarian for paprika.

Why is rotisserie chicken used in this recipe?

Rotisserie chicken is pre-cooked, so it can be added to the soup at the end. The hot soup warms it through, and it keeps the chicken from falling apart if it were simmered.

Why did my sour cream curdle?

If you don't remove soups from the heat before adding sour cream, the high heat will cause the sour cream to curdle. There's no saving it after that.
