Kahlua Chocolate Cheesecake

Kahlua chocolate cheesecake combines the rich, creamy texture and flavor of cheesecake with the deep flavor of Kahlua to create a dessert that is pure decadence.

One of the best things about cheesecake is how versatile it is. You can do so much with basic cheesecake, from simple changes to major ones. This delicious cheesecake is the perfect example of just how much you can do with the classic dessert.

Kahlua Chocolate Cheesecake

Cheesecake has always been one of my favorite desserts to make. It's rich and creamy, and it has a wonderful flavor profile. My favorite thing to do with it is to get creative and make all kinds of variations like this one.

Ingredients

It only takes a few basic ingredients to make this delicious dessert.

  • Oreos
  • butter
  • cream cheese
  • powdered sugar
  • Kahlua
  • white chocolate chips
  • milk chocolate chips
  • Cool Whip
  • whipped cream
  • shaved chocolate

Instructions

There are a few steps to this recipe, but they're all very easy.

Step 1: In a small mixing bowl, combine Oreo crumbs and melted butter.

Step 2: Press into a 9-inch springform pan. Chill while preparing filling.

Step 3: In a large mixing bowl, combine cream cheese and powdered sugar.

Step 4: Add Kahlua and mix until smooth.

Step 5: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt white chocolate and milk chocolate chips in 30- second intervals.

Step 6: Pour melted chocolate in a thin stream into cream cheese mixture while mixing.

Step 7: Add Cool Whip and mix until filling is uniform.

Step 8: Pour filling over chilled crust and smooth it with a spatula.

Step 9: Chill for at least 6 hours prior to serving.

Step 10: Just before serving, garnish with whipped cream and shaved chocolate.

Substitutions

Coffee: You can use coffee in place of the Kahlua.

Chocolate Sandwich Cookies: You can use any brand of chocolate sandwich cookie you like for this recipe.
