What to Serve with Chicken Hash Brown Casserole

This casserole is a full meal in and of itself. I like to keep things light and serve this casserole with:

  • A side salad
  • Crusty bread
  • Garlic bread
  • Garlic knots
  • Bread sticks
  • Texas toast
  • Fruit salad for dessert

Tips:

  • It's important to mix the base ingredients first to ensure they're fully combined before adding the cream soup.
  • Add the chicken and hash browns last for the best ingredient distribution.
  • Bake the dish covered until the last 10 minutes. This allows the cheese to get bubbly and slightly golden without burning.
  • Don't defrost your vegetables before mixing the casserole. It isn't necessary, and defrosting them will actually make them cook too fast and become mushy.
