But one afternoon, my youngest asked if we could make new cookies! That was all I needed to hear, and that was the day our Soft & Simple Sugar Cookies were created!
And that is just what they are! They are soft. They are simple. And, of course, they are amazing! Ingredients for Soft & Simple Sugar Cookies
1/2 cup butter, softened
2/3 cup sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
Directions for Soft & Simple Sugar Cookies
Step 1: Preheat oven to 400°.
Step 2: Cream butter, sugar and vanilla.
Step 3: Add egg and mix.
Step 4: Add all dry ingredients and mix well.
Step 5: Roll dough into tablespoon size balls and place them on a greased baking sheet about 3 inches apart.
Step 6: Press down with a fork and bake for 6-8 minutes.
